Quince Orchard Forensics!
If you're set on a piece for competition time, you want that piece to be easy to read regardless of the category you are competing in. When typing your competition piece, try following these guidelines:
- If your piece contains multiple characters, seperate these characters by name. Add an extra indent to characters that are not the narrator. Identify these characters in bold.
- Use a font size and type that will be easy to read when holding the piece at any distance.
- Single spacing will make your piece easier
- Allow enough whitespace on each page so that the piece can be easily marked. Good places are during transitions from one character or scene to the next.
- Have the original material with you for reference, always be prepared to make cuts.
- Make wide margins, leaving plenty of white space to mark up.
- Finally, print atleast four copies; one to put into the forensics vault, one for our sponsor, and two for you.
