| To the left are two pictures from the finals of the 2001 Womens' Big East tournament, the thrilling 78-76 win over Notre Dame where Sue Bird won the game on a last second shot! Sadly, we could also lose Shea for the season after already losing Svet. This would prove to be too much to overcome in St. Louis as the quest for a repeat fell short. The top picture is the team accepting the trophy as 2001 Big East champions. The bottom picture is the team waving goodbye to the fans after the game. |

Sadly, this game ended with Notre Dame coming back from a 15-point deficit to thoughly wipe us off the court in the second half and win 90-75. Below is a picture from senior night 2001.
