Richmond, VA
Richmond, Va is currently the capital of Virginia and it was the capital of the Confederacy during the Civil War. Many Richmond residents seem to be living in a time warp-they have not yet accepted the fact that the Civil War is over and the Union won. I drove through downtown and was behind a pickup truck with the license plate "ED NECK." The truck was covered with Confederate flags.

Anyway, a big thanks goes to Kat Kadin for showing me around Richmond and giving me a place to stay in Richmond(thus saving me the expense of 2 hotel nights). Kat-I owe you-if you're ever in Boston and need a place to stay, my place is available.
To the left is a picture of the White House of the Confederacy where Jefferson Davis lived during the Civil War. After the war, the building was used as a school before being turned into a museum. Below is a picture of the Museum of the Confederacy. Unfortuantely, indoor photography is prohibited so I could not take any pictures inside. Both the White House and Museum are in downtown Richmond.
To the left is a statue of General Lee from Monument Street(?) in Richmond. To the right is a painting of General Lee from the Virginia History Museum.
To the left is an outdoor waterfall sculpture at the Virginia Art Museum. I know it's not great, but I felt the need to put something on this place not related to the Civil War!
