After graduating with a bachelor's in Biology, Zohn traveled for six months in Australia and New Zealand, where he bungee jumped from one of the highest jumps in the world ( 400 feet s).
He then played soccer professionally in Zimbabwe [ the Highlanders Football Club ], and in the USA with the Cape Cod Crusaders ( Cape Cod, Massachusetts ) and the Hawaii Tsunami ( Oahu, Hawaii ). He also was a member of the 1997 and 2001 U.S. Maccabiah team, which competes in an Olympic- type festival for Jewish athletes. [ Oh Honey, a nice Jewish boy! ]
Since 1998, Zohn has served as an assistant coach for the men's and women's soccer teams at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, N.J. Additionally, since 1999 Zohn has worked freelance as a brand name strategist/developer, responsible for creating names for newly invented products, as well as creating inventions of his own. He enjoys scuba diving, photography, running and cooking ( vegetarian ).
Former Zimbabwian teammate, and current Boston Bulldogs captain Methembe Ndlovu is rooting for Our Boy: "I think he'll be awesome...He's a really selfless person who got along with everyone. He spent some time in Zimbabwe and everyone loved him.'' Conceding that sometimes the secret to success on "Survivor'' is to be the biggest bastard in the bunch, Methembe opins that Ethan's nice-guy demeanor could cost him: "He's not a bastard; that might be his downfall. But we're all excited for him. We hope he comes home with the loot."
This sweetness is not lost on Survivor 2 winner, Tina Wesson, who considers him to be "the kindest one there," and is her favorite. And Richard Hatch, winner of Survivor 1, knows a dreamboat when he sees him: "I am going to keep my eye on Ethan. He is one handsome man."

But one wonders if her view was influenced by Ethan's opinion of her, as expressed on the tape: "I thought Tina was so SEXY! SEXY!" No word, yet, on his opinion of Richard Hatch ]
He is a Lexington, Massachusettes native, who currently lives in New York City. He has two brothers, Lenard and Lee. His birth date is November 12, making him a Scorpio.
Ethan's "Luxury Item" is a "Hacky Sack" --which left me perplexed. I seemed to recall hearing some similar-term used to describe a sort of shaving kit--which would make sense; with Ethan's beautiful curly hair, and sweet face, a beard would give him the countenance of a Biblical figure--giving him sort of an unfair advantage! LOL
In actuality, a Hacky Sack is the Wham-O brand-name given a game item called a "footbag." It is actually played as a professional game! Ethan must want to keep up his soccer skills while there. A Hacky Sack is a loose-bag, bounced on the foot and leg below the knee.
Footbag is a modern American sport. It was invented in 1972 in Oregon City, Oregon, when John Stalberger met Mike Marshall, who had been kicking around a hand-made bean bag. John had recently had knee surgery and was looking for a way to work on his flexibility, and he instantly took to the game and become good friends with Marshall.
