Crazy Quilted-ATCs (Artist Trading Cards)

ATCs By Darsie
Here are the guidelines, basicly send 40 or how many you get done, get 40
back from 40 different artists! (or how many you send in) make sure you sign
the back of your work!
PLEASE make sure you send a STAMPED envelope for me to send them back to you
and write CQ ATC on the package.

What is an Artist Trading Card (ATC)? It's a 2.5" x 3.5" piece of art, made
to be exchanged with other artists. This is the same size format as sports
trading cards,  They are a way to experiment with different techniques on a
really small scale, and to see what other artists are doing in their work.
Most of all they are fun to make and to collect!

This swap will be Crazy Quilted!
See examples of Darsies ATC, thanks so much for sharing your pictures!

Also other Art Quilt pieces from a swap

You may layer them and tack them together. Or Quilt them with some kind of
stitches.
You can put a foundation in them, or make them like a regular CQ. Please
have the edges finished, with a binding, blanket or other edge stitching, or
stitch and turn.

In this swap,  Your ATCs will be made in the manner of a Crazy Quilt.
Your ATC's can all be almost identical or they may be related to each other
as a series, but each must be an original work of art, no copies, please.

Since we are a group of Crazy Quilters each card should use fancy fabrics,
threads, fibers, beads, buttons, lace, or other embellishments, in some way,
anything you might include in a Crazy Quilt,  3D Embellished ATC's are more
than welcome in this swap.  Please be sure everything is sewn on or
otherwise securely attached, and please limit machine embroidery to small
motifs. We don't want mass produced ones, each one is a piece of art in
itself.

The size of each ATC must be 2.5" x 3.5". The shape does not have to be
rectangular, but it must fit within this size limit. Feel free to use
different shaped corners or edges on your cards. Try to keep your cards less
than 3/8" thick. Some people store then in note books in the trading card
sleeves to show.

Be sure to sign and date the back of your 'card'. We want to know who you
are! That's what they are for, to make a part of you to share.
You can also include contact information or anything else you want to share
with the recipient. Some have used their business card, that's great! You
may want to number them as an indication of their uniqueness.

Please send  up to 40 cards,  PLEASE make at least Each set of 10
Different.
It will help in swapping them and getting you as many different ones as
possible, depending on how many people send in. ATC's are due to me by Sept
30th.  I can not guarantee you will get one from every artist. Of course you
could always trade individually with others.  If your cards are delicate
send them in individual baggies.  Please label your package with "CQ ATC" to
be sure that your cards will be swapped with the correct group.

You will need to include a self-addressed return envelope with enough
postage STAMPS Attached to the envelope, to send your swapped ATC's back to
you. They will be under 1 pound so I will be able to pop them in the mail
very easily if you follow the instructions.... including an envelope, stamps
and already addressed envelope.

International please include, US postage, cash, or international postal
money order.
