25/6/0211.524BithongabelPoint LookoutDavid and I were going to walk to Richmond Gap together. Taking the shortcut to Echo Point, David pulled a 1 tonne bolder over his foot breaking a bone in his foot. It took a few hours to help him to O Reillies before I walked back to Point Lookout. It got dark climbing up to PL and I lost the track several times. What a relief it was to finally get to PL at 7pm!
26/6/021118Point LookoutGrady's CkWhat a disaster! Got to Tweed Trig quite easily by about 9:30 and then it all went horribly wrong. There is no clear track from TT to Mt Gipps and I kept ending up on the wrong ridge or in gullies. Eventually I was on the right track but thought I was on the track to Black Snake Rige so I corrected when I didn't need to and ended up in Grady's Creek at the foot of Mt Hutley. Light was fading and I felt the walk was doomed so I struck camp in the creek feeling a little miserable.
27/6/021121Grady's CkNorth of Long CkUntil lunch time I rockhopped down Grady's Ck. A dirt road was found and followed until the Lions Rd was recovered. Richmond Gap was reached and 3 hours along the rabbit fence commenced.

I was on Mt Clunie at lunch time and at the White Swamp Border Gate to see Nancy Richardson at about 3pm. Leaving at 3:30 I walked another 2 hours or so until I was on the edge of Wilson's Peak.
30/6/021217East of Wilson's PeakLower Panorama PointRugged terrain and bush bashing to Mt Bell and Mt Roberts slowed the pace today. I counted myself damn lucky just to get to Lower Panorama Point. The nights at the moment are subzero! I cornered a grey kangaroo on Wilson's Peak but no harm came of the encounter.
1/7/021118Lower Panorama PointCunningham's GapRugged terrain again. Ususal water sources were nearly dry. By Doubletop I knew I would get out today and not tomorrow. I rang Denise and arranged a lift. I was glad to be at C.G. at 5 pm
