Mt May

Mt Maroon from Mt May

The ridge to Paddy's Peak is left by an obvious track beyond the long north ridge of Mt May. There is a serious descent along this ridge before leaving it. THere is a low ridge connecting Mt May and Mat Maroon. There are one or two road crossings. THe main ridge to Mt Maroon from the west has some outstanding rocky outcrops. When the main slope of Mt Maroon is reached it is best to contour around to the south west of the mountain and ascend. By doing this you will ascend by some very interesting and enjoyable rocky outcrops with great views of Mt Barney and Mt May.
