Yes: Mt Beau Brummell, Grass Tree Knob, Mt Castle, Boar's Head
No: Sylvester's Lookout

Not really a club walk destination at the moment as most of it is on private land and access or use on is a large unknown. Of interest is Kangaroo Mountain, Mt Beau Brummell and Grass Tree Mountain. The range from Edward's Gap to Sylvester's Lookout is a wonderful walk with great views and cruisy ridges. Most of the region is private property and permission from land owners is required for the walk. As far as I know the walk from Mt Castle to Grass Tree Knob does not require land owner permission.

Mt Beau Brummell has a spectacular Spear Lilly grove on its south side. Another 4 hours or so south from here, Grass Tree Knob is reached. There is a dam full of water about half way if you are desperate as it is cattle contaminated.

At the top of Grass Tree Knob, great views of Kangaroo Mountain and Mt Castle become obvious. Kangaroo Mountain is only a hour further. Mt Castle is a hard ascent because a lot of altitude is lost after Kangaroo Mt. An arduous slog leads to a cliff which can be ascended with care about 50 m west from the NE corner. A series of rocky ledges can be gained until the summit is reached.

From this North spur of Mt Castle head towards the summit where a major walk track is found. A razorback to a cliff can be followed further south from the summit. The main track can be followed to a point where traversing leads back to the razorback ridge up to the Boar's Head. From here it is over the hole in the wall and up the ridge and mountain to drop below to Sylvester's Lookout. 1
