| The :Cue:Cat is a FREE barcode scanner currently available from your local RadioShack store. This scanner is known as a "keyboard wedge" as it connects between your keyboard and computer. The data produced by this barcode scanner is encrypted as the parent company, Digital Convergence, wanted to insure that only their software would be used with this device. The QKat DOS TSR Driver performs the required decryption of the scan data allowing the :Cue:Cat scanner to be used as a generic barcode scanner with almost any DOS application.
