Order of the Qinqeans
Our nation's highest civilian honor has five levels:
Companion, Key Companion, Prominent
Companion, Distinguished Companion and Principle
Companion.
Appointments to the Order of the Qinqeans are made for
exceptionally meritorious service to the Government or the
nation and to those who have become distinguished in their
particular field of endeavor
which bring honor upon the recipients, the Republic of Qinqe and its
people. Exceptional
performance of normal duty will not alone justify an award of this
decoration. However, justification of the award may accrue by virtue
of exceptionally meritorious service in a succession of high
positions of great importance. The number of living Principal
Companions at any one time is restricted to 30. Appointments to the
remaining four levels are limited to 10 Distinguished Companions, 20
Prominent Companions, 40
Key Companions and 80
Companions per year.
The award of the Order of the Qinqeans is
not required to be in sequential order, i.e., an individual can be
designated a Distinguished Companion without first being designated
a Companion or a Key Companion award.
