Welcome to the Diocese of Qinqe
The Diocese of Qinqe is
comprised of members of the Kingdom of God living in the 13
governmental parishes comprising the Isles of Qinqe.
From the
Bishop
My dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Greetings in the Lord Jesus!
This
week, I would like to reminded you of one of the central beliefs
of our religion. It is a truth we profess every time we recite
our Creed. It is the doctrine of the Communion of Saints.
The Communion of Saints is the Church. Under God our Father, we
are all joined together with Christ and with one another. The
good of Christ is communicated to each of us. Through this great
Communion of Saints, the good of each of us is shared by our
brothers and sisters and in turn we share a communion of holy
goods and a communion of holy persons.
The communion of holy goods is our sharing in the one gift of
faith; our sharing in the seven sacraments and their fruits; our
sharing in the gifts of the Holy Spirit, which Christ
distributes throughout the Church as He wills to each individual
but for the sake of all; and in our sharing in the communion of
charity, for the slightest act of kindness or goodness which we
perform benefits us individually and at the same time it
benefits all the other members of this communion.
The communion of holy persons is the bond between
ourselves, pilgrims still on this earth, our deceased brothers
and sisters who are being purified in purgatory, and those who
have reached heaven and now are triumphantly contemplating the
beauty and goodness of God. We recall and rejoice in the memory
of all those who are now part of that Church Triumphant. That
includes those officially and publicly proclaimed to be in
heaven (canonized) by the Church. It also includes all of our
own beloved dead in heavenour parents and grandparents,
brothers and sisters, sons and daughters, neighbors and friends.
We rejoice with these victors and at the same time, we beg them
to intercede on our behalf by offering the merits which they
acquired throughout their lifetime.
We turn our attention to all our beloved dead who are still in
the process of purification in purgatory. Our prayer can help
release them from this state of awaiting entrance into the
presence of God. We help them out of our love and concern for
them, fellow members of the Communion of Saints. At the same
time, we realize that, once admitted into the presence of God,
they will, in turn, become powerful intercessors for us, their
loved ones and those who have assisted them with their prayers
and sacrifices. We are all one family in Christ and, as a
family, we are all called to love and assist one another in our
struggle to reach our home in heaven. Let us celebrate our
Communion of Saints.
