Kang Ta's second album: Pine Tree

My personal short review: If you are a Kang Ta-fan, you must know that he has came back with a completely new style for his second album.  To go with this new style, he has also cut his hair short and kinda spiked it up, giving him a very refreshing and young look, a younger and more energetic look than the one he had in his Polaris album.

Even though this album is similar in style with his first, the songs are better and you can tell that he's made an effort to have a greater variety of songs.  Included are fast paced vocals such as Happy Happy, Propose, and The Best; moderate paced are, Memories, Confession, Flower; Slower ones are Nocturne, and 2032 In Cuba. There are jazzes like One Snowing Day, which may not be my favourite but is still quite good in the "jazz-sense".

Confession, was neither written nor composed by Kang Ta, but its introduction is different than the typical vocal songs and have a fresh sound to it.  Happy Happy is, as the title suggests, a happy and lively song that can totally regenerate an exhausted body, like mine after an extra long day of school, and remind you that life is still worth living, because there's Kang Ta! Hehe, I can't help saying that since, you see, I am a fanatical fan of Taya.  Anyway, my two most favourites of all my favourites are Propose and The Best.

Propose: its catchy melody will attract your attention if you are listening to the whole album in one run and the playfulness of this song with Kang Ta's renowned silky and alluring voice can guarantee you a heart-touching feeling that makes you love your beloved more, or, if you are single, want to fall in love at once.

The Best: A rapid and very energetic song with a nice beat backed by Kang Ta's genius in music composition.  A different version of Kang Ta than the sensitive, mature, and quiet artist he had himself portrayed earlier.  If you've watched his performance of this song in his recent August 24 &25 concert, you may think that he seems almost like a Brand New KangTa; livelier, happier and sexier!

Okay, I have written more than I normally write for my English assignments already, so I''ll leave you to enjoy the new and better album of Kang Ta's Pine Tree.  Please forgive me if the links don't work, because of my awful skills!!
