Hello, everyone. This is Karen at age 10. Skinny kid! I was born in Tulare, California on Feb. 13, 1965. I lived around Farmersville, Exeter and Visalia until late March 1979, when I moved to Quincy, Washington. And in Quincy I have remained. I was married in 1983 - divorced in 1984. Remarried in 1987 to David Hand and he is still putting up with me. We have two daughters, age 10 & 8. They attend school in Quincy. Dave has four kids from his first marriage and they are in ages from 26 to 19.
This is me at age 17. I know. I cheated and didn't put the one from our annual in. I never did like that picture - so I replaced it with this one. I worked at Quincy Farm Chemicals as a secretary in the Seed Division for 15 years. I am currently Administrative Assistant at Upper Grant Conservation District in Ephrata. The job is challenging and fun and the people I work with are great. I am a member of Daughters of the American Revolution - Karneetsa Chapter, Moses Lake, WA and the new Quincy Valley Historical Society and Museum in - where else - Quincy, WA. I love doing genealogy and have traced mine and Dave's lines back several hundred years. One of Dave's goes back to Charlemaigne - Holy Roman Emperor. So far, I'm only descended from the upstairs maid! (There's gotta be a connection there somewhere!) Anyway, to find out more about us, check out our family website at:
My Favorite High School Memories: Doc Lorenson's Psych Class - that was fun! "TJ" Jensen's Accounting Class and the FBLA trips. Chior with Mr. Hunt. LUNCH TIME!! Cruising with Sharon Westover in her mom's camero with the stereo blasting. For some reason, nobody wanted to cruise in my car. Hmm - might have had something to do with the fact that is was a Red Buick Electra about a half block long with a bad starter. kkk - kkk - VROOM! And we're off! M-Barasin'
