As I think I mentioned in one of my other journal entries, we do have satellite TV, which provides us with some non-Japanese viewing, which is not always a blessing.  CNN International provides OK news coverage, but it's a little too much focused on Asia for my taste.  I know that's where I am, it's just not what I was looking to CNN for.  Another news option we have is the Fox News channel.  Does anybody really watch this in the U.S.?  Don't let me get started!  Another disappointment is the international version of ESPN.  No matter how much I hear about them, I don't think I'll ever become interested in soccer, rugby, or cricket.  And delayed broadcasts of SportCenter are not too helpful.

Maybe I better stop before I get myself too worked up.  Let's just say there's plenty of fun stuff on Japanese TV, and some of the dramas look like they might be pretty good.  Like most things over here, I won't truly appreciate what TV has to offer until I improve my language skills.  Wish me luck!
