Facilities

Clearbrook Farms has excellent facilities that are always well kept and safe so you don't have to worry about your horse while you aren't there. We have state of the art facilities and some of the best in all of Ontario.

Barns: Clearbrook Farms has four barns. The largest is the main barn where all the mares, geldings and young horses are stabled. This barn has thirty-five 12' x 14' stalls. The next is the stallion barn which houses stallions and colts atleast three years of age. This barn has sixteen 14' x 14' stalls and a breeding area. The last is the foaling barn which can house up to ten pregnant mares in 20' x 20' stalls. Twenty-four hour surveillance cameras are in each stall to monitor the mares before and after foaling to make sure they are alright. The last barn is the isolation barn, it can hold up to six sick or injured horses in 20' x 20' stalls. This barn has a full veternary set up with operation table and specialized chutes and everything. Each barn has a tack room, with enough saddle racks & bridle racks for the number of stalls in that barn. Each barn also has an office where the head of each barn works and stores all records each record has two copies, one in the main office and one in a special safe in the bank in case of disaster. A separate feed & bedding shed in located down a path, away from the barns to reduce the risk of fire.

Riding Areas: Clearbrook has excellent riding facilities. We have two outdoor sand rings. One is for all purpose riding and has a few cavelliti poles, cones and jump standards for whatever you choose do do. The other is a jumping ring with tweleve adjustable and movable jumps. Many can be easily converted into hunter fences, from jumper fences. There is also an indoor sand ring measuring 50' x 100' for riding in the winter and in the rain. It has five adjustable and movable jumps, as well as cones, and a heated viewing area. It is attached to the main barn at one end. We also have two indoor rings. One is for a warmup ring during shows and for riding on rainy days, it isn't very big and is attatched to the main barn. It is not usually used during other times. The other arena is a fairly large arena that can be used for jumping and dressage. Most of the time it is set up as a dressage arena. Two round pens near the rings are great for lunging and training. One is covered for year round use.

Paddocks & Turnout: Clearbrook has over sixty acres of turnout ranging from 1/2 acre paddocks, to ten acre pastures. Paddocks are fenced with white PVC fencing which is clearly visible to horses so they won't run through it and injure themselves. Water is piped to all the paddocks and horse can drink it out of a large water trough. Gates are latched with horseproof latches and horses known to escape get a double latch to ensure their safety.
