audio - an audiophile is like a pianist, it's not how expensive the piano is, it is the abilities of the pianist.
New technologies take a long time to refine, most of them never last that long.
Most people have no idea how loud or how good
1 watt can be, if they did, they might make wiser decisions in their audio purchases.
There are no audio journals that are
authoritative, they are only informative.
What is great about being an audiophile is not how much money you
spend on your audio equipment, but how much money you save.
The THREE most important things to assembling a high quality audio system - consumer or pro.
1. Knowledge of the right components.
2. Knowledge of how to install the components.
3. Knowledge of how to operate the components.

THREE interesting observations about quality audio systems.
1. Your audio system sounds better in a dark room.
2. No one has a reasonable excuse for owning mediocre audio equipment.  See 2000 Audio Challenge.
3
.  Women seem to be able to hear sonic difference much better than men.

THREE comments commonly uttered by Audio Morons.
1.  "I like it loud enough to make my ears bleed."
2. "This system didn't cost a lot of money, it can't be a quality audio system."
3. "Wires can't make any difference in an audio system."

An extremely good example of quality in audio are Joseph Audio speakers.  Over the last few years, audiophiles have had the opportunity to compare speakers from Joseph Audio to those from other audiophile companies.  In these comparisons, Joseph Audio speakers have been selected as some of the the best sounding speakers even when compared with speakers that were 10X, 20X, 30X or more.  This to me demonstrates what quality and quality audio is about.  You may click on their logo to obtain more information on their products.
