An Laku Fe - Way of the Wind
While the young men of the Ban Ti study the use of the Keto and other skills needed to fight and hunt, the young women of the Ban Ti most often spend their free time training in An Laku Fe, or the Way of the Wind. An Laku Fe uses techniques of evasion and balance in order to escape or nuetralize a foe. Young women are not required to master the Way, or even to study it at all, but most do in order to be able to serve the Creator if He calls His Sword into action against the Defiler. The Way of the Wind also teaches the use of the Kelar, a medium sized knife with a sharply curved blade, in combat. Watching two skilled practitioners of the Way of the Wind is almost like watching two skilled dancers performing, each flowing around and with the actions of the other. Perhaps this explains the reputation of the Ban Ti women for being superb dancers... True cinematic masters of An Laku Fe are extremely rare, but there have been those who were capable of amazing feats that defied even the Blade Masters to counter. While rare, the master of An Laku Fe is a very formidable foe in close combat.

The Kelar is carried by almost all Ban Ti both as a weapon and a general purpose knife. Ban Ti will willingly sell Kelar to anyone who wishes to buy one, but prices outside the AkMilar Waste should be at least 150-200% of price given. |
