Queen Creek is a unique area to live in. We are a community that relishes our rural ness, yet knows that with the fast growth of our town, we have to be receptive to the new businesses & people who are moving out here. Since we are in such a great location, we are able to take advantage of a wide variety of activities. We have great places to teach our children about farming, animals & lots of parks - & if we want a change of pace, we simply have to drive a little further into the "city" to get to the mall, great restaurants, museums & more. We are a group that is dedicated to giving support & friendship to our members so that this great journey of parenthood is made a little easier, & not alone.
The MOMS Club began in 1983 when Mary James, an at-home mother in California, decided she was tired of being alone at home. She watnted to meet other at-home mothers and she wanted to find other at-home children for her children to play with. When she discovered there were no other organizations that met during the day & allowed her to come with her baby & preschooler, she decided to start a brand new organization just for at-home mothers, and the MOMS Club was born.
The chapter she started was so successful, she knew mothers in other areas must be needing the MOMS Club, too. Soon she & other volunteers were helping mothers start MOMS Clubs across the country & around the world. We now have 2,000+ chapters in the US alone & over 100,000 members!
