| Case Is one of my good friends. Since he started riding for The QCC I have noticed something. People really dont like his style of skating. This makes me really mad. How can you judge someone on what tricks are in there bag. Just because he doesnt bust out the bigest tech trick you assume he is a bad skater. Well thats what this article is about, the man himself...Case Federal! I believe I put case on the team because he represented everything I believed skateboarding was. Not who can bust the sickest shit, Not what team your riding for, Not what sponsors you have, just HOW MUCH FUN you can have riding this piece of wood we call skateboard. I could see case could have fun skating any spot, skatepark, curb, parkinglot, or sidewalk. He didnt care what people thaught. He didnt care what tricks the other skaters were sticking. Thats what makes Case who he is. I remember the first time I skated with case. I was trying to learn my 50-50's on the half pipe and I took a little break. I looked around the park to see where he was and he was 4 wheel power sliding down the bank ramp. Im not talking about any ordinary power slide. This power slide had style! It was the first time I had seen anyone do something like that so this was amazing for me. I would have never thaught of turning my board sideways and sliding down or across an object on the sides of my wheels. this was just the begining. At the begining of the 2003-2004 school year Case, Chris M., Andy Hickling , and I where skating on a driveway. We decided to do a "best trick" contest on this driveway. Chris stuck a half cab heel flip, Andy was doing switch trick off the end of the driveway, Case was mostly watching and bustin some fakie bigspins, and I was doin b/s flips. It was cases turn again and what he did was unexplainable. Case busted the highest fakie bigflip we had ever seen. This big flip was holy! The mother of all big flips. The KING-Mack daddy-Papa of all big flips! A similar case to that one is yesterday (june 3) Case road his bike to Lexington from wellington to come see me about some grip tape for his new media deck. Well I didnt have any so we sat down and talked for a while. he was telling me how he learned all these tricks while skating with team rider Matt Brockington. I asked case what tricks and he told me he could lip slide, b/s 180 heel flip and kick flip. All in one day. I was like "show me!" so I gave him my deck to use and sure enough he busted the lip slide on my rail (1' high) then b/s 180 heel fliped like MOFO! Stuck the kickflip shortly after. What I dont get is how do u not know how to k-flip but you can bust fakie 360flip 180's (big flip). I dont know how ya do it case but "keep on keepin on" ! We all love ya case! QCC4LIFE! |
