Jumbo Pizza Loaf


1 loaf French bread OR Pepperidge Farm club rolls
3/4 # ground beef
1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped ripe olives (optional)
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. dried oregano
1 6-oz. can tomato paste
3 tomatoes, thinly sliced
5 slices sharp process cheese, diagonally halved

Cut loaf or club rolls in half, lengthwise. Combine meat, Parmesan cheese, onion, olives, seasonings and tomato paste. Spread evenly on each half of bread. Broil about 5" from heat 12 minutes or till meat is done. Top with tomato and cheese slices; broil 1-2 minutes just till cheese begins to melt.
OR
Brown meat, onion and seasonings in skillet on stove burner till done. Add Parmesan, olives and tomato paste and cook till hot again. Spread on bread tops, add tomato and cheese slices and broil till cheese just melts.
