How can I begin to describe the bmx scene in chats? Chats is the word we use to describe where we live, Chateauguay. It's a fairly big city, with close to 50,000 people, It's located on the south shore of Montreal just past the Kanawake Indian Reservation. There isn't a whole lot of stuff to ride but we make due. We mostly have banks and little ledges and a few rails here and there. Our most ridden spots are Willibroad, Billings,Vetville and the mini-ramp. Altough we may be lacking riding spots, we definetley have plenty of rider. Close to twenty actually. Most riders from Chats stard riding around four years ago, except for Crazy Chris, who has been riding the longuest out of anyone in Chats, even when he pretty much had no one to ride with, There is also some guy with a goatee from Valleyfiel that claims to be chats...Probably the most influential rider in chats is Bullman.Everyone ends up using the same words as him, and result get pretty funny. I think the best term to describe chats is funny or fucked up! Chats rider like to get "right ripped" and "smig a jig". Most riders here try to ride a little bit of everything, but i think that our true passion is street. It shows with probably some of the best street riders ins Quebec hailing from Chats. Another thing Chats may be known for is it's women. There are plenty of hoes to go around for everyone!! You can usually find them at the 222 or Maxi Church. A certain Montreal rider has been known to come to chats for the ladies, if you know what i mean. That is pretty much all that you would need to know about Chats. If you want to come to Chats, I would suggest that you plan it so that you can be here on a friday night. It will definetly be an experience....
P.S: The Fat Kid from Chats can drink a gallon of milk in an hour, beat that magilla!
