| Q-Branch HQ Review: Dr. No, the first Bond movie, begins the series off with a bang. Sean Connery's wonderful acting along with Ken Adams' set designs and the amazing locations, are amazing. Since it was made in the early 60's, the movie is no doubt lo-tech, however it is still entertaining. Q-Branch Rating: 6.136/10 |

| ~The mystery of who Dr. No is and the clues leading up to him make the plot decent. ~The script is mostly well-written, but there are some times where the dialogue doesn't interact well. ~Dr. No is definately not the most exciting of the movies. It's actually one of the least. There are some very exciting parts, but there are many that make you bored. ~The action is okay but a little unrealistic. The movie is not full of action, but has a very cool explosion at the end. ~Ursula Andress (Honey Ryder) acting is not the best, plus her voice is dubbed over by someone else. John Kitzmuller (Quarrel) does an okay job, and Sean Connery is amazing as always. ~Sean Connery's (Bond) acting is wonderful. What more can I say?!? ~Ursula Andress' (Honey Ryder) acting is not very good. She doesn't seem very experienced and they don't even use her own voice in the final film. ~Joseph Wiseman (Dr. No) does a wonderful job. He is a perfect villain and does a good job considering he's not even Chinese (Dr. No is). ~Mainly based in Jamaica, the locations of Dr. No are pretty cool. ~Ken Adam's sets are amazing. ~There are hardly any gadgets or cars. Bond does use a very large geiger counter but that's about it. |
