'=============== modified readme file====
Hi there!

This is a baby IDE for Rowan Crowes MoonRock 0.16.

MEDIT 0.02 alpha is a fairly pathetic, line oriented editor.
As yet there is no cut and paste, no search, no replace and
none of the lovely consistency checking QBASIC does.
But what do you expect of something I knocked up in one night?
However, you can write files of up to 800 lines, and have
access to online help, and compile and run from MEDIT.
It also allows you to customise your compile, and add
command line parameters to a compiled program in the IDE.

MEDIT will run on any IBM compatible xt/at/386 etc. running DOS 3.0 or
higher. It is advisable to have at least 500 Kb of lower memory
available before running (MEDIT will work, the compiler may refuse to
run though). I am working on this.

Just unpack MEDIT where ever you have put moon rock, ensure that you
have a MRC.CFG file and off you go. If you do not have an MRC.CFG
file, copy one of Rowan's example .CFG files as MRC.CFG

MEDIT has pull down menus which can be activated with the mouse, or
the alt key. (e.g. ALT+F to activate the file menu).
These are File, Edit, Run, Tools, Help and Quit
File is self explanatory (Open, New, Save etc)

None of the options in the EDIT menus work yet, but I will get round to it.
You have access to two, count them TWO, wordstar style editing keys.
These are decribed in the Help menu under Key Help. You can delete a
line, insert a line, and that is about it. Home and End get you to
the begining and end of a line.

The Run menu has the following items.
Compile. Does just what you would expect. You may get an error message when
MRLINK tries to run. Ignore it and press any key as instructed, it is taken
care of.
Options: Allows you to specify compile options for the COMPILER
(see the MoonRock help files)
Run: Run a compiled program
Command$ Specify a command line for a compiled MoonRock Program if
it requires one.
(eg. C:\MYTEXT.TXT or /help etc. for YOUR program, not the compiler)

Tools only consists of Print at the moment.
Everything else is fairly straight forward.

The popup file selection box features a quirky scroll bar. Page Up,
Page down and the arrow keys do what you expect. Clicking on the
Arrow character scrolls up or down by one line. Clicking on the
bottom or top of the scroll bar is the same as home and end. Clicking
one cursor lenght away from top or bottom is the equivalent of page
up or page down. You select a file to open by clicking or pressing
the space bar, then pressing enter or clicking OK. At the moment,
you can select multiple files, but only the first selected will be
loaded (quirk to be fixed).

A future release will add Cut/Paste/Search/Replace, faster scrolling
and better page control, more Run and Compile Options and consistency
checking (i.e. checking for For/next pairs etc ), better memory
contol and a customisable INI file.

Enjoy! Ian
