This indenture
made this 29th day of Feb 1844 between George H Rogers and William
Robertson Sr of the one part of the County of Clay and State of
Kentucky and Andrew Burns of the State and County aforesaid of
the other part witnesseth that for and in consideration of the
sum of $20.00 in hand paid by me Anderson Burns before the signing
& delivery of these presents we the said G H Rogers and William
Robertson do acknowledge ourselves fully satisfied therewith and
have this day sold & conveyed to the said Burns a certain
tract of land granted to us George H Robertson & William Robertson
by the Commonwealth of Kentucky in the county of Clay & State
of Kentucky on Bullskin Creek waters of the South fork of the
Kentucky river, Beginning at two beeches two white oaks &
maple on a small branch emptying into little Bullskin 60 poles
above the forks. Thence N 41 E 40 poles to a stake; Thence S 46
E 400 poles to a Stake above James Davidsons stable & in said
Davidsons line S 41 W 80 poles to a stake. Thence N 46 W 400 poles
to a stake; Thence N 41 E 40 poles to the beginning containing
200 acres by survey be the same more or less with all woods water
rivers etc, and with all that is with any wise appertaining to
the same & with said G H Rogers & William Robertson for
ourselves and our heirs to warrant and defend the title of the
above mentioned tract of land from ourselves or heirs and all
other persons claiming the same by or through us or therein to
the said Andrew Burns & his heirs forever in as full and ample
a manner as we are G H Rogers & William Robertson entitled
to do from any grant from the commonwealth of Ky. In witness whereof
we the said George H Rogers & William Robertson have hereunto
set our hands & seals this the day and date above written.

clerk of the Court aforesaid certify that this deed from George
H Rogers & Nancy his wife & William Robertson & Catharine
his wife to Andrew Burns was this day 7 day of September 1844
produced to me in my office and acknowledged by the said George
H Rogers & William Robertson to be their act & deed and
the said Catharine Robertson being examined by me privy &
apart from her husband acknowledged the same to be her act &
deed and wishes not to retract and consenteth that the same may
be released, and the said Nancy Rogers acknowledges the same on
13 of June 1845 to be her act and deed and consenteth that the
said may be recorded, She also being examined separately and apart
from her said husband and also having the same explained to her,
Whereupon the foregoing deed together with this certificate have
been duly admitted to record in my office.
