The Commonwealth of Kentucky
Whereas, I John
L Halton have been appointed, by the County Court of Clay County,
Administrator of Wm B Allen deceased, intestate. Now, we John
L Halton Administrator, and Ste Robinson and R P Treadaway Jr
sureties do hereby covenant to and with the commonwealth of Kentucky,
that the said John L Halton will well and truly administer goods,
chattels, credits, and effects of the said intestate, according
to the law, and will further make a just and true account of all
his actings and doings therein; and will well and truly make a
proper distribution of any surplus money, effects, and rents,
which may come to his hands, or to any one for him, by color of
his office, to the persons entitled thereto. If it shall hereafter
appear that a last Will and Testament was made by the deceased,
and the same be proved and recorded, we further covenant that
the said John L Halton will, in such case, surrender his letters
of administration; and that he will acccount with and pay and
deliver over to the Executor or Administrator with the Will annexed,
the assets in his hands unadministered.
