This indenture
made & entered into this the 19th day of November 1855 between
Wm Reid of the first part & Elias W Robinson & Wm Milton
of the second part witnesseth that for & in consideration
that Wm Reid will enter into bond for the release of Stephen Robinson
from the custody of the jailor of Clay County, We, Elias W Robinson
& William Milton of the second part mortgage sell & alien
unto the said Wm Reid of the first part E W Robinson mortgages
the tract of land where he now resides being the same he bought
from Beseley (sic) Hollinsworth also one clay bank horse &
red cow with a white face & 1 horse, William Milton mortgages
to the said Wm Reid 2 frosted cows, 1 bay colt, a year old past
& 17 head of sheep & a rifle gun To have & to hold
unto the said Wm Reid and his heirs and assigns free from the
claims of the said E W Robertson & Wm Milton and their heirs
& assigns forever. The conditions of the above obligations
is such that should the said Stephen Robinson appear in the Clay
Circuit Court on the first day of its next April Term to answer
the charges against him & not depart without leave from the
County so as to save the said William Reid harmless then the right
of the said property to remain in full force and virtue. Signed

Clerk of the County Court for the County aforesaid do certify
that this deed or mortgage from the Elias W Robinson & Wm
Milton to Wm Reid was produced to me in my office & acknowledged
by said Robinson & Milton to be their act & deed for the
purpose there in named. Whereupon the same together with the foregoing
certificate hath been duly admitted to record in my office.
