This indenture
made and entered into this 23rd day of July 1845 between Eli Reid
& Eli Hubbard of the County of Clay & State of Kentucky
of the first part to Elias Robertson of the county & State
aforesaid of the other part, Witnesseth that for and in consideration
of the sum of $200.00 the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged,
The Eli Reid and Eli Hubbard hath this day bargained and sold
unto the said Elias Robertson a certain tract or parcel of land
lying or being in the County of Clay & State aforesaid on
the waters of Sextons Creek containing 50 acres and bounded as
follows (to wit) Beginning at a Beech & White oak at the mouth
of the first left hand branch above where Stephen Lunsford formerly
lived; Thence S 18 W 20 poles to a stake; Thence N 44 W 60 poles;
Thence N 32 W 36 poles Thence N 19 W 64 poles to two oak trees
and a Black gum at a small branch; Thence N 78 E 60 poles to a
stake crossing said Sextons Creek at 26 poles; Thence S 19 E 64
poles; Thence S 31 E 36 poles; Thence S 44 E 60 poles Thence S
78 W 30 poles to the beginning with the appurtances there unto
belonging to have and to hold to him the said Elias Robertson
his heirs & assigns forever, and the said Eli Reid & Eli
Hubbard do hereby warrant and defend the same against all and
every person claim or claims whatever claiming by through or under
them, In testimony whereof we have here unto set our hands &
seals this day & date above written.

I William Woodcock
clerk of the County court aforesaid certify that this deed from
Eli Reid & wife and Eli Hubbard & wife to Elias Robertson
was this day produced to me in my office and acknowledged by the
said Eli Reed & Eli Hubbard to to be their act & deed,
and the said Elizabeth Hubbard & Milly Reid being examined
by me privy and apart from their husbands acknowledge the same
to be their act and deed, and the said writing again shown &
explained to them they again acknowledged it and wished not to
retract and consenteth that the same may be recorded. Whereupon
the same together with the foregoing certificate have been duly
admitted to record in my office.
