Clay County Court Sept Term 1845

This indenture made and entered into by the orders of the Clay County Court at the Sept. term 1845, between Wm Woodcock Clk of aforesaid court of the one part and Edward Robinson of the other part witnesseth that the said Wm Woodcock as aforesaid for and in consideration of the orders of the court aforesaid bind Abraham Lunsford who is eleven years old in November next unto the said Edward Robertson to serve him til he arrives to the age of 21 years and the said Robertson doth agree on his part to learn the said Lunsford the art & mystery of farming to furnish him with good & wholesom(e) meat & drink and suitable clothing and to pay him three pound 10 shilling and a decent new suit of clothes at the expiration of his term of service and to teach him to spell & read so as to read the New Testament with facility and common Arithmetic including the rule of three, In testimony whereof we have hereunto set our hands & seals this 1st day of Sept 1845
