This indenture
made & entered into this 26th day of June one thousand eight
hundred and fifty one between David Robertson of the one part
and Wm H Allen of the other part all of the County of Clay &
State of Kentucky witnesseth that the said David Robertson for
& in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars to him
in hand paid by the said Wm H Allen the receipt whereof the said
David Robertson does hereby acknowledge has given granted bargained,
sold & covey unto the said Wm H Allen a certain tract or parcel
of land situate, lying & being in the County of Clay on Goose
Creek and bounded as follows, to wit: beginning at a rock at the
mouth of a small drain on the north bank of Goose Creek thence
N 21 E 76 poles to 2 white oaks on a point of the ridge thence
up said point N 19 W 18 poles to 2 white oaks, sourwood, &
beech, thence N 17 W 48 to 2 black gums hickory and poplar near
the head of the Turnip Patch Branch thence S 27 W 102 poles to
a rock thence S 4 W to a rock on the bank of Goose Creek at a
fish trap known as Etherons thence S 76 east 43 poles to the beginning
containing by survey about thirty and a half acres. To have &
to hold the above said land and premises to the only proper use
and benefit & behoof of him the said William H Allen his heirs
& assigns forever And the said David Robertson for himself
& his heirs does covenant & agree to and with the said
Wm H Allen to warrant and forever defend the above described tract
of land to the said Wm H Allen his heirs or assigns from &
against the claims of himself & his heirs & from &
against the claim or claims of all & every other person or
persons claiming under through or by him but from no other or
others. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal
the day & date above written.

of Kentucky Clay County, to wit: I William Woodcock Clerk of the
County Court aforesaid certify that this deed from David Robertson
& wife to Wm H Allen was this day produced to me in my office
& acknowledged by the grantors according to law to be their
act and deed whereupon the same together with the foregoing certificate
have been duly admitted to record in my office.
