This indenture
made & entered into this the 24th day of September 1852 between
David Robertson of the one part and Silas C Robertson of the other
part all of Clay County Kentucky witnesseth that for & in
consideration of the love and affection I have and bear toward
my son Silas C Robertson I have this day granted bargained &
sold unto the said Silas C Robertson and his heirs a certain tract
or parcel of land lying & being in the County of Clay on Goose
Creek and bounded as follows, to wit: beginning 25 poles below
the mouth of Beech Creek at a sugar tree and beech on the bank
of Goose Creek thence east 18 poles to 2 beeches S 42 E 22 poles
to a 2 white oaks & hickory N 61 E 36 poles to 3 black oaks
W 14 E 14 poles to a white oak & hickory N 74 W 16 poles to
white oak and hickory N 31 W 18 poles to 2 white oaks N 17 W 36
poles to 2 white oaks and hickory thence north 25 poles to the
Table Rock on the point of the ridge to a corner of a 145 acre
survey made for Mary Robertson thence line of the same S 79 W
39 poles to a beech tree on the bank of Goose Creek same course
continued to the center of Goose Creek thence down said creek
N 35 W 44 poles N 21 poles N 18 E 21 poles N 65 W 6 poles to a
water oak on the bank of Goose Creek same course continued 34
poles further to two white oaks & hickory on the top of the
hill S 62 W 28 poles to a black gum N 46 W 14 poles to 2 black
gum trees N 25 W 20 poles to a black and white oak N 4 W 30 poles
to 2 chestnut oaks N 80 poles to a buckeye on Wild Cat Branch
same course continued to the back line of the land deed by W E
Walker to me thence to include all the land I now own (except
the land sold & given to my other children all of which deeds
I have acknowledged this day) to the beginning. To have &
to hold unto the said Silas C Roberton & his heirs I will
warrant and defend the title to the same from myself & my
heirs. In witness whereof I have herewith set my hand the date
and date above written.

Clerk of the County Court aforesaid certify that this deed from
David Robertson to Silas C Robertson was this day produced to
me in my office and acknowledged by the said David Robertson to
be his act and deed. Whereupon the same together with this certificate
have been duly admitted to record in my office.
