Know all men
by these presents that I David Robertson hath for & in consideration
of the love & affection which I have and bear for my daughter
Nancy Bishop and it being equal to the land I have given to my
other children I have this day given unto my said daughter the
said Nancy Bishop and her heirs forever a certain negro girl named
Ellen to have & to hold together with her increase to the
said Nancy Bishop & her heirs forever. In witness whereof
I have hereunto set my hand this 24th day of September 1852

I, William Woodcock,
Clerk of the County Court aforesaid certify that this deed of
gift from David Robertson to Nancy Bishop was this day produced
to me in my office & acknowledged by the said Robertson to
be his act and deed whereupon the same together with the foregoing
certificate have been duly admitted to record in my office.
