This indenture made and entered into this 22nd day of March 1851 between Daniel Garrard of the one part & William Robertson of the other part all of Clay County Ky. witnesseth that for & in consideration of the sum of one hundred & fifty dollars to one the said Daniel Garrard in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged. I have this day granted bargained and sold unto the said William Robertson a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the County of Clay & State aforesaid on the waters of Goose Creek containing 200 acres be the same more or less and bounded as follows to wit: beginning at three spruce pines at a cleft of rocks on the east side of said branch thence N 58 E 18 poles to a post oak and chesnut thence N 12 E 14 poles to a 4 chestnut oaks thence N 25 E 26 poles to a black (oak) thence S 47 E 32 poles to two hickorys thence N 70 E 38 poles to a chestnut thence N 12 E 32 poles to a black oak thence N 4 W 10 poles to a spotted oak thence N 21 W 20 poles to a chestnut oak thence n 76 W 30 poles to a white oak thence N 49 W 20 poles to a chestnut oak thence N 80 W 20 poles to a hickory thence N 5 W 48 poles to a chestnut thence N 10 E 22 poles to 3 chestnut oaks growing from the same root thence N 50 E 22 poles to a chestnut oak thence N 15 E 34 poles to a white oak thence N 18 W 18 poles thence S 80 W 24 poles to a sourwood thence N 24 W 34 poles to a chestnut oak thence S 73 W 34 poles to two chestnut oaks thence S 15 W 34 poles to a chestnut thence S 22 E 24 poles to a hickory thence S 30 W 68 poles to a chestnut oak thence S 39 W 56 poles to a chestnut thence S 15 W 44 poles to three chestnut oaks thence S 29 E 52 poles to a post oak thence S 44 W 28 poles to a chestnut thence S 15 E 46 poles to 2 chestnut oaks thence S 62 E 28 poles to a post oak thence S 18 E 6 poles to a 4 chestnut oaks thence east 80 poles to the beginning. To have and to hold to him the said William Robertson his heirs and assigns forever free from the claim of myself my heirs and all persons whatever I will warrant and defend the title to the same. In witness whereof I have here unto set my hand and seal the date above written.

I William Woodcock Clerk of the Clay County Court do certify that this deed from Daniel Garrard to William Robertson was this day produced to me in my office and acknowledged by the said Daniel Garrard to be his act and deed Whereupon said deed together with the foregoing certificate have been duly admitted to record in my office. Given under my hand this 22nd day of March 1851.
