This indenture made & entered into this 20th day of April 1848 between William Woodcock as commissioner of the Clay Circuit Court in the case of Armstead Sheltons administrator against said Sheltons heirs and Creditors of the first part & Charles Robertson of the other part all of the County of Clay & State of Kentucky witnesseth that for and in consideration of the decree of said court and the sum of nineteen dollars to the administrator in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged This commissioner hath this day granted bargained & sold unto the said Charles Robertson a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the County of Clay on the waters of Sexton's Creek & bounded as follows to wit: Beginning at a white oak black gum buck eye and chesnut on the east bank of the Burning Spring fork thence S 84 E 24 poles thence S 25 * W 80 poles thence south West 92 poles to a dogwood and 2 white oaks on the side of a hill thence N 84 W 24 poles to three white oaks & dogwood in a line of James Monroe's survey of 20000 acres same course continued in all 45 poles thence N 11 E 92 poles thence N 25 E 80 poles thence south 84 east 24 poles to the beginning containing fifty acres to be the same more or less To have and hold the aforesaid tract or parcel of land unto the said Charles Robertson his heirs and assigns forever Free from the claim of the said heirs or creditors of the said Armstead Shelton deceased and all persons claiming by or through them. In testimony whereof I have here unto set my hand as commissioner aforesaid the day and date above written.

I William Woodcock Clerk of the Circuit Court aforesaid certify that foregoing deed of conveyance from William Woodcock as commissioner to Charles Robertson was produced in Court on the 9th day of June 1848 and acknowledged by the said Woodock as commissioner to be his act and deed approved of by the court & ordered to be certified to the Clerk of the County Court for record which is accordingly done.

I William Woodcock Clerk of the County Court aforesaid certify that the deed from William Woodcock Commissioner to Charles Robertson together with the certificate thereto annexed was this day produced to me in my office and ordered to be recorded. Whereupon the same together with the foregoing certificate have been duly admitted to record in my office.
