Know all men by these presents that I have this day sold ---- & mortgaged to Henry H Moss, Allen Robertson & Stephen Gibson the following property (to wit) 1 yoke of oxen 1 sorrel mare and mule colt 3 plows and 3 horses 2 cows and calves to have & to hold the same to themselves their heirs & assigns for ever subject to the following conditions; The conditions of the above obligation is such that the said H H Moss, Allen Robertson & Stephen Gibson Jr have this day gone my security to G H Rogers in two notes one for $64.87 and one for $3.50 the former dated 2nd day of June 1845 and due 1st day of December 1845 now if I shall by myself or otherwise discharge the above named debts so as to save harmless the said H H Moss, Stephen Gibson and Allen Robertson then the above obligations to be void otherwise to remain in full force and virtue

William Woodcock Clerk of the county Court aforesaid, certify that this mortgage from Douglass Hamlet to H H Moss, Stephen (Gibson) & Allen Robertson was this day produced to me in my office and acknowledged by the said Douglass Hamlet to be act & deed for the purpose there in mentioned Whereupon said mortgage together with the foregoing certificate have been duly admitted to record in my office.

Given under my hand this 2nd day of June 1845
