| Surfing at Portage Park: Time: Early fall Wind: NE 20-25 MPH x 24-36 hours Place: Portage Park Sturgeon Bay Waves: 4-6 per NOAA 2-3 in reality Put In Take Out: Portage Park, Sturgeon Bay Notes: Portage park is a nice standy beach where a Northeast wind can generate some big waves. The waves started out nicely sized but slowly died out as the day progressed. |

| Cave Point: Time: Early summer Weather: wind:0; temp: water temp: Waves:0 Dense Fog Put In Take Out: left from Lilly Bay boat launch Notes: a nice paddle along the sand beaches of Whitefish Dunes State park until the rocky shoals and cliffs of cave pont. continued along until Schauer park Jacksonport then return. Hot humid and foggy with cold water temps. Photo credits to Gerry. |
