| Bear Paw--like a curved leopard but striking with palm side of hand and front of knuckles. It creates a gap, or vaccuum, that can rupture the eardrum. Eagles Claw--thumb and first two fingers act as talons to strike, grab, and tear. |

| Spinning wheel kick--not from flamingo, not spinning hook, like TKD. Keep leg straight and turn until impact. Delivered to side in practice, low works as well as high. Thrusting heel kick--drive heel down into knee, thigh or shin. Remember to sink into it. |

| 1. Defensive Crane: Inside left palm block stepping in with left. Right crane's wing to his inside right arm between bicep and tricep. Follow through strike hooking the crane's beak around his neck and torque him over. During this, your left hand is in a crane's wing and swinging a wide arc over your head. Let go with right hand and bring back as your left crane strikes him on the back of the neck. Left follows through to cover his right arm and throw it out of the way as you twist your right crane's wing around into his face. 2. Jumpy Jump: Right upward knife block into lady horse, right in front of left. Jump around back of person, into horse stance, and grab his throat from behind with both hands. Throw him to the ground. Double hammer strikes to groin and face, use opposite hands to grab neck and groin, and pull up toward your armpits, ripping out his neck and groin. 3. Kata Kempo: Fade back into cat on right foot with left outside knife block. Lunge forward with left foot to inside of his feet, riding left arm up with a spear finger poke to the side of his neck. Step forward with right while bringing left hand back down grabbing and turning his wrist to elbow position and delivering right knife to side of the neck. Bring him down further by taking a small step back with left foot and delivering right knife hand to forearm. As he comes down, deliver a left palm to face. then right front ball to soloplexes as he falls back from palm. 4. Matay: Right arm up in front 2 knuckle position with left arm covering in #4. Slide right hand down to wrist and bring left forearm up to bicep area. Pull down and roll forearm to bring his face down. right kick his face. Keep left arm over his to cover his right arm and deliver right thrust to temple. |

| Arm lock behind back: rearward elbow to face followed by eagles claw to throat. Arm lock from shoulder grab defense: Your are attacked with shoulder grab. You spin around with rearward elbow then driving eagle claw. Straddle the chest: A--He has pinned you by the wrists. Decide which side you want him to fall. turn wrists away from that side and use opposite knee to hit him in the butt. Roll over on top and pin his biceps. B--He is on top about to pummel you. Knee him, bringing his face foreward. Grab one ear and with other hand shove thumb into eye. Roll his head down and get on him. |

| 10--#2 with knife hand, come forward with right foot and strike left knife hand to eye/cheek area and right ridge hand to groin. Wrap his arm as in combo #1 and execute bear paw with right hand. Trap his head against your shoulder. Step back with your left foot, bringing him down. You still hold him as in combo #1 with the arm lock. Two knife hands to the ribs. Jump, still holding his arm, and break it. Come down with one final knife hand to the neck. 12--optional #2 block with knife hand. Left front ball to knee. Spinning back kick to same place if presented (groin or midsection would work, too). Recover at 45-degree angle, then cross and cover. |

| Willow Palm Blocking System | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Willow Palm is actually more of a strike than a block and can become a powerful took if practiced right. The striking piont is the top of the wrist or lower butt of palm. |

| Start with front position. --Shoot wrists upward--normally done with both hands at once, but they can be practiced separately.
