Seems like it's a pretty sure bet now that "Series V" will air by Fall 2001. At least we'll only have to go through one summer without Star Trek!
If you have any questions, comments, or ideas, go to the message board. There's a link at the bottom of this screen.

New news from the Star Trek front, from a recent convention. As reported by Section 31:
Not much info, he (Richard Arnold) said Series 5 is still in a very tentative stage and that if it were to air it would be Fall 2001. A fan ask how the UPN buy out would effect the next series, he stated that the next show would be on CBS (Owned by Viacom/Paramount) or Syndication. He didn't talk about any rumors on the Series 5 premise nor did he speculate.

Revamped the site and gave it a complete overhaul. I think it looks much nicer now, and works much better now too.

I've got a new name. This site is now officially known as the "Star Trek: Series V Resource." Though its official function is to report all news on the forthcoming new series, since forthcoming news is not at hand, for now it will also serve as a news service for any Star Trek news, and I will post reviews of the final season of Voyager. However this will not be a site for spoilers, as I like the feeling of being shocked and surprised during an episode. I still enjoy that shock, surprise, and saddness I felt when, disbeliving and compleatly offguard, I watched the Defiant blow up. I won't be spoiling others' entertainment because in the process I would be spoiling mine.

Things are looking up, though I still don't know what to call this site. Somehow, "Paul's Website" just doesn't ring in my ear

Still trying to get everything to work right. While I'm here, I'll fill you in on what's been going on so far. First, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Paul Pytlik, I'm 17 and am from London, Ontario. Now that that's done, this is what we know so far on the new series: nothing. Well, maybe nothing isn't quite true. We do know that it will take place on a ship (for now), and will be "radically different" than any show to date, going back to the ideals of the original series, even getting closer than they were able to achieve. (How you can be closer to yet improve upon is beyond me). The speculation has been so great it's hard to keep everything clear. Some ideas that have been pu forth for the new series include: a teen-centered show taking place at Starfleet Academy, the early adventures of James T. Kirk, a history of the Federation, beginning at it's birth, a Section 31 spy/mystery hour, a Saturday morning cartoon (just joking...its Sunday), a Klingon driven show, and on and on. I, for one, don't like any of them, and the "radically different" part scares me. I don't like change. I can take them replacing the crews, ships, settings, but as soon as you put a "radically" in front, it makes me nervous. When Deep Space Nine came on (now my favorite of any of the other four, though I don't like TOS, so I should say three), I missed most of the first season because I couldn't get used to the change. It was darker, more serious, and more focused than any of it's cousins. Once I gave it a chance, I was hooked. Voyager went through a period with me as well in the beginning, but it has grown on me. A lot of people give it flak, but I really do like it, especailly after Seven joined, which is where people say it went wrong. She added conflict to it, something that they started with getting from the Maquis, but ended up fizzling away. But I degress. OH!! Before I degress, can I just say this to the producers: "Pick actors who don't have 4x4's stuck up there asses!" I was shocked when an actor who I never suspected of being jadded (no, I won't name names |coughchakotaycough|) My God, if I had the job HE did... geeze. Just don't get me started. Man, I have to stop typing know... type to you tomorrow.
