Right Zone Response: In response to your first sentence. This is a typical leftist approach to any issue. Change the issue and start name calling. This approach is used because if an educated dialogue with facts were attempted they would lose on all counts. (thus no return e-mail address was left!) On to the second sentence, regarding understanding communism. We understand Communism very well and as any educated individual would acknowledge, it is a complete and utter failure. A government will never lead a nation and its citizens forward to prosperity. Any sort of social engineering does more harm than good. The fall of the Soviet Union, pathetic state of North Vietnam and Cuba are all proof of that. The United States of America is the leader of the free world because it is a capitalist nation where individual liberties and rights are protected by law. Under communism and liberalism everything is for the good of the state and community (high taxes included) and everyone is equally poor leaving individuals with no incentive to do anything but complain (as your "mean spirited" statements confirm). But you better not complain too loud or else the secret police will take you away as they did in Europe to a citizen of the Neitherlands who was placing a poster protesting the European Union! AlGore alligned himself with the international global European leftists with their very liberal agenda during the 2000 election. (Why do you think he disappeared into Europe after he lost the election?) Under the guise of environmentalism the Kyoto protocol would have cost this country thousands of jobs and weakened our nations industrial power while giving the biggest polluters, such as China, a free ticket. Another way of looking at this is international welfare or communistic globalism. Under the guise of doing, caring, sharing and trying we would pay higher taxes and be burdened by more regulations in order to fund more social programs, which in turn would lower our standard of living. Under the guise of environmentalism SUVs would become extinct as the fuel efficiency for vehicles would be increased. Under the guise of environmentalism United States citizens would continue to lose their land, life savings and means of life as in the case of the Claymath Basin sucker fish crises in Oregan. Sounds like the international community would benefit more from an Algore adminstration than the American people would. And right there you have it in a nutshell. The good of the whole is more important than the good of the individual, where the individual in this case is the United States. This explains why the international arena was so disappointed to see Algore lose the election. The gravy train of international welfare money started under the Clinton administration was coming to an end. Who in their right mind would support this sort of stupid and crazy leftist BS! On to the third sentence regarding our lives in our house. Thank you very much for your concerns, but we are living life just fine as a young American capitalist family enjoying the "American dream". Sorry to hear that you are missing out on the American dream in MN. I recommend relocating to China, Cuba or North Vietnam where you will enjoy very left leaning establishments. Any individual's social or economical problems will never be solved by a bureucrat in Washington, Moscow or Belgrade. The best outcome for any person's problems can only come from within the individual. Any nation that allowes its citizens that freedom will ,without doubt, become one of the greatest societies in the world. Stop whinnnnnning and searching for an excuse for someone else (government or the community) to solve your problems and take responsability for them yourself.
