World Conference Steering Committee Progress Report |
||
Following on from the Steering panel's report in the last "International" we would like to inform the readership of the progress so far, with a request for everyone's help in achieving our goals.
The Steering panels members have been making contact with many Pyr organisations and have been received very well across the World.
Clearly it does take some time for organisations to discuss and select representatives and at this present time several clubs are in this process. WE STILL NEED YOUR HELP!! Is your club involved yet? Do you know if they have contacted us?, or if not can you direct us to the right person whom we should be approaching. If you need any more information please contact me or any of the Steering panel who are all very willing to develop the panels international base Worldwide.
We are hoping to start developing ideas and agenda items for the next Conference. If you have any suggestions we would welcome hearing from you, although it will not be formalised by the Steering panel but whichever Country hosts the Conference. We will inform you all of suggestions made and if there is sufficient interest, I feel certain the Host Country will develop the item with interesting and informative speakers. We feel sure that most people want the next World Conference to be a success and this will need good time planning. most speakers will require plenty of notice. At this time the Steering Panel has not made any major decisions as we want as wide an International base as possible so that all votes are as democratic as possible and that there is fair representation of Pyr enthusiasts throughout the World.
We hope that we will have many more representatives by the end of this year so that a set of guide lines can be agreed on as to how future Hosts for World Conferences will be chosen, criteria which should be considered, funding requirements, and formal Constitution of future World Conference Committee's once elected.
