September/October 2002

We had gorgeous weather, albeit cold, for the early autumn, and made a few expeditions out to make the most of it. The following includes photos from visits to the beach, the hobbyist trains in Burnaby (Tim went many times!), a bus trip, and Halloween.

Sept 20? Spanish Banks. Megan was looking for Blackberries again. Spanish Banks. Oma helped Megan get some of the berries behind this big log. Saturday, Sept 21, Confederation park, Burnaby. Tim loves the train rides! Sept 22. At play in the Thomas train shop, Granville Island (Vancouver). Sept 25, Vancouver Airport. A quick pit stop in the mini-park outside, after saying bye to Oma. Sept 29, Waterfront station, Vancouver. Snack time while waiting for the next bus. Megan loves the new fold-up camping chair! October - Tim at a playground in Stanley Park. Stanley Park, walking on the green past the geese. Tim carefully avoided all the poop. Stanley Park. Megan was well dressed against the chill. October 30. Tim's Halloween costume! (Note the train clutched in his hand too). October 30. The group photos didn't quite work. Oh well. Can you see all our trains? Oct 30, Library (10th Ave). All the other kids at the special storytime were dressed up too! Oct 31, Lilliput pasta lunch. Megan was playing with her food again. Nov 2. Megan loves helping out in the kitchen, dipping things in the foamy water etc.
