4" AERIAL SHELL GROUND BURST ( 113 kb )

"It can't be that dangerous, it's only a firework!" - I suppose most of you have heard that before. The truth is that fireworks are considerably more dangerous than many people think. Cautious and careful using of fireworks is not exaggeration! This shell was deliberately burst on ground some 40 - 50 yards away. Some stars flew past the cameraman, so the safety distance wasn't long enough. Pattern diameter is approximately 110 yards.

4" WOOD MEAL FIREBALL ( 63 kt )

A small, cute and quiet fireball. The undercharged lift doesn't make much of a bang, but the effect is clearly visible. Some magnesium-aluminium alloy was mixed with the wood meal, together with a pinc of zinc dust. The MgAl gave some brilliancy to the flame and the zinc tinted the flame nicely greenish. Unfortunately the color can't really be seen on the video.
