PVA Glue (white school glue)
Thin wire with high resistance (8 cm long)
Start by bending your wire into a U shape. The make it so that the wire is bent over on its self and about 5 mm from the other side of the wire. Place this down in the middle of a piece of card and make the end which is bent round overlap the card edge by roughly 1 cm or 2 cm. Now place a small dot of glue on the second piece of card and gently place that piece of card on top of the card with the metal wite on it. Press this down firmly for a few seconds and leave to dry. Once its finished it should look like the one in the picture below. The two pieces of wire comeing out of the end seperatly are the ones in which you will connect your longer lenght of wire with will carry the current from your battery into the high resistance wire, the thin wire will then glow red hot and maybe even melt. Simply place the end of the E-Match where the wire is joined into your pyrotechnical device and run a current through the wire.
