Cut Stars
Stars are the burning balls of fire seen in a firework. They come in a wide variety of colors and effects. Many of these star Comps. can be found in the composition database. Ther are three basic methods of making stars Cut, Rolled, and Pumped. Rolled is the best but if you don't have a Star Roler this will work just fine!

What You'll Need:
1. Star comp.
2. wetting solution (75/25 water/alcohol)
3. a knife
4. a plastic bag, rolling pin, and a sheet of Reynold Wrap

How To:

Start with a star comp. for instance a simple one is a Chrysanthemum star such as KNO3.....55%
S.............7%
C.............33%
Dex..........5%

Put all of your comp. in a plastic baggie. It is almost always easier to make large batches. Now slowly add your wetting solution to the Comp. mix and mix it around until the mix is like playdough. Remember not to over wet or it'll be a mess and not set up right!  Once its wetted to the proper consistency mold it into a large blob and set it on a hard surface. Lay the Wrenalds Wrap over it and use the rolling pin to level it out to the size you want the stars to be.
Once its in a flat pancake shape use your knife to cut it into strips one way and then the other to make cubes. Spread these cubes out and let them dry. Stars can take several days to dry depending on the kind it is!   Once they are completely dry you may or may not need a prime (check your star comp.). If you do need a prime heres how it works..... just use a spray bottle and lightly spray the stars after theyre dry and roll them in Meal powder. Primes are needed on hard to ignite stars since Meal burns hot enough to ignite them even if the shell or mine can't.

Well ther are your completed stars. Theyre now ready to be used in shells, star mines, fountains, etc..
