Alias
By: Nick

Alias, the hit show on ABC is now a video game. Now your thinking, this game is gonna suck right? Wrong. Although the game might get a little repetitive, you will still have a fun time playing this game.

The graphics I have to say were pretty good. The character models looked real and they used photographs of the Alias cast and put their face in the game. Plus, Jennifer Gardner is hot. But one problem in the graphics is when the characters talk. Its scary. Their mouth will move in random ways when the talk and the mouth will not match the words their saying. So it basically looks like someone making a bunch of faces. That was the main problem with the graphics. Another problem was the hands. I noticed that they were the same shape for everyone so what you see are stuck together fingers that are pointed outward.

The gameplay was what it should be, simple and easy. The controls were easy to get used to, and their were no wasted buttons. Sydney also gets her own set of cool gadgets, and even though they look a little childish compared to Sam Fisher's equipment, they still are pretty cool. The hacking tool is pretty cool, you have to figure out a four button code in order to hack into whatever your trying to hack into and its pretty easy to do. She also gets things like lock picks, laser disruptors, mini-camera, portable modem, and she can change her costume from a olive woeman's business suit to a black leather im gonna kick your butt in top and pants. And this girl can fight. Of course you can pick up guns and use them but I had much more fun beating up the guards and bad guys using her fists and feet. Fighting is prety easy, the A button is a quick attack and then the X button is a Kung Pow Enter the Fist punch a hole in a guys chest move. Well not really, its more of a special attack. Moving around is easy you just run everywhere. And she doesn't prance!!! But what is weird is she runs everywhere she goes but then she walks up the stairs? Very odd but its not something to go crazy over.

The plot? Not sure because I only played the demo. But from what I can see from the first level it will probably involve trying to stop this lady who wants to use this mind control device to do something with. And she needs this chemical thing to use it and thats what your trying to get in the demo level. The plot does sound pretty good though, and I think it will get better as the game goes on.

To sum things up Alias is a enjoyable game that fans of the TV show will love. My suggestion is to rent the game rather than buy but if you are a fan of the show and want the game then go ahead because the game is only 30 bucks. Alias is a fun game and who doesn't want to play as Jennifer Gardner?

My Rating:
Graphics: 8/10
Gameplay: 8/10
Plot: 7/10
Sound: 7/10
Tilt: 8/10
Overall: 7.6/10
