David Kuz - 10/26/99 15:23:06 | Comments: I've grown up liking only muscle cars but recently have been more interested in kustoms and early rods.My wife and I have decided to build a car and are still getting ideas. She likes the Rockabilly resurgence and so do I.I've just purchased a complete dri eline from a '59 Buick Electra (inc steering wheel/column and dash) and amd try to decide what to install it in.I've just located a fairly clean '47 Ford Deluxe but the asking price of 8 g's is too high for a project vehicle.I may have to travel south - c ean sheet metal is hard to find up here in Ontario Canada. I'm using a friends computer to send this.Once I get my E-mail set up I'll be in touch again and will hopefully be able to send you some pictures of a work in process - if I ever find a good clean shell. Thanks to web sights like yours the need to build is getting very strong. |

Just did Lead East this past labor day and should have pics up on my site soon. There was a nice memorial tribute for Joe Carloni where they showed home movies of him chopping the top of his rod on a big outdoor screen nd after the film his car was followed by a couple of hundred other participents around the grounds until the line of cars was miles long and then ended with his car shooting flames at the parsippany hilton (the only flameshooting allowed all weekend). La er, Ron. |

Thom Petersen - 02/26/99 03:22:47 My URL:http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/Speedway/8989 My Email:[email protected] | Comments: I have recently finished a 1950 Mercury limited edition print,"Duke of Earl" . The print features "Earl", a chopped, flamed-out, flame-throwing, low-riding, 1950 Merc. The print is depicted as a kind of "Twilight Zone" adventure. Duke is stopped outside of a little cafe out in the middle of no-where to get water for Earl's radiator. And it is there that the mystery begins... The "Duke of Earl" print has been out now for about 2 months now and is receiving alot of attention. By the way...I now have the making of the painting and the making of the print, "Duke of Earl" It is on my UPDATED gallery site: http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/Speedway/8989 I'll send you a jpeg If you would like to see it. As always, "LOOK INTO MY CHROME". Best Regards, Thom Petersen [email protected] |
