Therapy Part Two
Still curled up in the chair her eyes wander over the scroll in front of her, his words taking root in her mind. Upon first hearing the proposition her hand wanted to jump form her knee and sign away her problem, but only resulted in a slight shifting as she sat up instead.  Her gut reaction was a different story.  Her friends were going to suffer just the same.  And
you never make a deal with the devil no matter how good it sounds.  Her damaged psyche just keeps telling her to say yes, she can make it all stop, make it all go away, be safe from him. The wrong feeling in the pit of her stomach telling her how much of a bad idea it is to even consider it.
---But how hard could it be to keep Ox from killing Kevin?  Probably only need a good distraction and let Kevin get away.  Is that so much to ask?
But Ox has every right to want him dead.  And Ox would go right through me
to get to him.  I can't hurt him like that; I can't betray what little
friendship I have with him.  And I saw Kevin trying to kill himself; I know
he wants to die.
It's only going to get worse and worse.  How much more can I handle before I truly break beyond repair.---
Century leans forward, hand shaking as she reaches for the quill.
   What am I doing.I can't do this.I can't make this deal. I'm hiding
again!...But he'll leave me alone.
Her fingers grasping on to the writing implement eyes staring at it, afraid Kevin might try to grab her hand.
It's not going to help stop him.
He'll find someone else to be his replacement.
Do I really want him to do this to anyone else.
It wont be me.
But then we won't know who it is.
Century's grip on the quill suddenly tightens.  Looking back up to the eyes
of the puppet, her lips mouthing her final thought on the matter.  Eyes
holding a glow of defiance.
"No...I won't be your bodyguard from Ox, you protect yourself.  I wont let you use me like that."
~The Puppet smiles that impossibly malicious smile~ "Let me put it to you this way. Agree with me and stop Ox, or I kill him to remove the possibility entirely. By no means was I suggesting that you MUST kill Ox. Just stop him. But since you've seen fit to refuse once, the offer changes."
~the Puppet holds a hand out to the side palm up, and into it materializes a small globe swirling chaotically with colors that are wrong. Not fitting into any spectrum we've yet to comprehend. (The mod for madness on this globe is so high I don't think Nolan would get it. So I presume Century is safe on this one)~
"On one hand, you have salvation. You have the power to safeguard the destiny of your friends for a time. Yes, I said friends. I'll leave them all alone. That is, I won't be driving anyone crazy through dreams, etc. AND, I'll let Gabriel have Jeremy back." ~the puppet smiles that terrible smile, the flesh of the therapist beginning to turn a bright shade of red. The contract altering to encompass what he's saying~
"On the other hand, I just exact what I need from you now. And leave you in such a condition that I bet you'd kill you friends for me out of sheer madness. The helmet won't protect you from your own mind Century."
~ three strange tones sound from nowhere, the tones are chaotic. A very short piece of a symphony of madness and chaos. The three tones alone are enough to send a chill through her spine that'll linger long after this encounter. It'll linger until the memory passes from recent to longterm memory.~
"Yes. I understand. Yes. I'll tell her, Sultan"
"We are no longer bound. That doesn't mean I leave you alone. Just that I can do it for fun instead of for an ends. It seems a new one has been chosen for me already. I guess then that there's no real reason for me to keep this offer on the table."
~He doesn't move right away, he waits a moment in case there is a reaction. Though to summarize, he has a particularly unsettling looking globe of chaos in one hand, and the contract in the other. At last alteration the contract specifies that Kevin will not seek metaphysical harm on the whole group without being personally present in the flesh, for a time; and he will give back Jeremy. In return, Century would be required to stop them, yes them, from killing Kevin by any means necessary. She would also not have to know what unimaginable things could happen to her if he used that globe on her~

~Given even a moment's consideration on the globe, Century is hit by a psychic vision where every friend she has is consumed by her fire. Not only is Century murdering them, she's enjoying it. Then, from her friends to strangers. Mercilessly burning everyone she sees with wanton malice. All the while in the world around her hideous beasts arise from the depths of every corner of the globe and begin consuming the world. And inside, a tiny piece of the old Century is left to suffer for her own deeds. Suffer the loneliness, reliving the deaths of her friends over and over. Wishing nothing more than for it all to end but powerless to do anything. But kill.~
