Canadian Jim Ward is a self-taught artist who resides in a small tourist town called Wasaga Beach in central Ontario, Canada. The retired artist, who has been doing pyrographic art for only about six years, tried the technique of pyrography after getting involved in wood carving. Now he mainly works in pyrography using a pointillism technique, and has won many awards at shows.

See more works by this artist and read his story in his own words in an illustrated article entitled Jim Ward--From Carving to Pyrography published in the July-August 2006 issue of WOM, linked here.
