UNINVITED
Crashing to the ground, your head in the clouds,
Heart of a saint, mind of the devil.
An enigma obscured in the company of despair
A single ray of sunlight suppressing in the darkness.
That which does not exist, my uninvited desire

Using a veil of unspoken words, alluringly unknown,
Suggestive promises condemned by reality,
So far yet too close, a traveling voice beckons
Echoing through empty halls once bustling
And hidden depths that see only truth

Secret smiles only I can see,
Pushing away; stealthily holding on
Skeptical of recent emotions, I question reality
Can this be real?
