A huge stone crafted gargoyle sits on either side of the ten feet high
ironbound oak door. There is an open oak door leading north. 
 Obvious directions are:
  east, south, west, north.

You sneak west...
You are in the castle courtyard. Sounds of commerce can be heard from the
west. The entrance to the keep is east. You are quite astonished at the size
of the keep. It seems to be a three- or four-storied castle. 
 Obvious directions are:
  east, south, west.
A whimpering dog.
An elderly sculptor.

You are south of the local shop. The King is quite proud of his shop keeper.
The shop is well known for its fine articles and moderate prices. The western
tower is immediately south of here. The castle wall is at its lowest here. 
 Obvious directions are:
  north, east.

You sneak north...
You are inside the castle shop. All the walls except for the one facing the
courtyard is lined with shelves from floor to ceiling. You might find most
items you need here. The shop is filled with the smell of exotic spices and
freshly oiled leather, and polished metal. It's almost intoxicating. Behind a
desk at the rear end of the shop you might find the shopkeeper. (Type 'help
shop' for further info.) 
 The only obvious exit is south.
