My Tribute to Tesla, California
Tesla Wildlife Photos I have been fortunate that I have been able to capture several types of the area's wildlife on film to share. The pictures here are reduced and may be clicked on to see their full size. You will need to hit your browser's "back" button however to return to the photo pages. They may take a while to load so please be patient. If you have any questions about the pictures or if you can provide me with better details of any of the photos, please e-mail the question or info to me at [email protected]
Another not too great shot, but that is a cottontail rabbit watching me through the bushes. He was cautious as a coyote had just passed by. I didn't get a good shot of Wile E. though.
This pretty little blacktail doe was on the north slope near the old sand mine. She seemed a little spooked though. Probably from the nearby coyote den I noted that trip.
Another blacktail. This one was up on the south slope among the scattered oak and buckeyes.
This is the same doe as above. I had come over the hill where the main tunnel was when I spotted her.
One of my favorite Tesla shots. I had to tap the tree near this fellow's feet to get him to fully open his eyes.
Another shot of my little owl buddy in the Sycamore Tree. I am guessing he is a screech owl.
It was this mocking bird that told me about the owl. Seems he wasn't too keen on sharing the tree and was making quite a ruckus!
This little ground squirrel and his buddies weren't at all afraid as I sat under an old Oak to read a book in the town plaza. He didn't want my peanuts however and ignored them completely.
This is that big bush I mentioned on the last page. It was covered with bees, wasps and many other types of insects. So many in fact that the buzzing was quite loud underneath.
A different variety of wasp. This one was almost entirely Black/bluish with bright orange on the lower part of it's wings while the other was a more typical black and yellow variety.
To sign my guestbook, please
I hope you are enjoying the album so far. Please remember to e-mail me if you have any information to better describe any of the pictures you see or if you find any errors on the pages. I would really appreciate it. I decided to keep each page to 12 photos max so the download time wouldn't be too long. So please click the button below to go on to the next page. :-)
